Nomination Deadline March 15, 2020

Message from Dr. Keith Smith:

This award was created several years ago in memory of Mary Moody and her outstanding service to patients as a medical assistant. I would like for you to nominate a fellow medical assistant within the state of North Carolina whose qualities are similar to those portrayed by Mary Moody during her years of service as a medical assistant.

Various adjectives have been used to describe Mary’s qualities as a medical assistant and a person. She was felt to be loyal. She always smiled and maintained a positive attitude. She was fun, but also professional. She was enthusiastic and always went the extra mile. She was able to communicate with patients whether they were very old or very young. She treated all patients the same whether they were rich or poor. She was able to get along with all fellow employees in the office. She was always neat and prompt. She was a good listener. She was able to follow instructions carefully, and in some cases anticipate ahead of time what the doctor needed in the care of the patient/ She was always able and willing to do what was needed even though it was not necessarily “her job”. She participated with her local and state CMA chapters.

How to nominate someone:

Submit the name of a medical assistant you think deserves this award and reasons for nominating, and return it to Dr. Keith Smith at Burke Primary Care. The deadline for nominations is March 15, 2020
