Hurricane Relief- Organized by Rebecca Eldridge
Please consider mnaking a donation to help our fellow Medical Assistants in Western NC who have received catastrophic damage to their areas. Once we as a Board assess everything that is needed, and figure out how we are going to disperse these funds, we will let everyone know how it will be used. We thank you in advance and keep praying for this area and the people that are affected.

Reel Recovery
Each year the NCSMA President selects a community service project for NCSMA. This year Cameron Smith, CMA (AAMA) has chosen Reel Recovery, a group founded by a group of avid fly-fishers after they recognized how beneficial this activity was for a friend battling brain cancer. The non-profit is a nationwide organization that conducts fly-fishing retreats for men recovering from all types of cancer. These retreats are free for the participants. The retreats offer an opportunity not only to learn a new skill, but to share stories, form friendships and help them to regain hope as they confront the realities involved in the challenges they face recovering from cancer. At each state sponsored meeting funds will be collected and tallied culminating with these funds being donated to Reel Recovery at the end of the year. Your chapter can get involved too! Simply contact President Cameron Smith at ncsmapresident@gmail.com to learn how to donate.
